And the Winners are…
The winners in the AGE OF CERAMIC Competition were announced in the ceremony on June 17 at MACAM.
The first prize went to Maha Nasrallah for her ‘Cindarella’s slipper or Qobqab. She presented the ‘qobqab’ as a symbol of a crime against humanity as thousands were hanged in the Syrian war in a slaughterhouse and the count of the discarded slippers outside showed how many have been killed. The 2nd prize was awarded to Sabine Karam for her organically molded sculpture, Hommage to Daumier’. May Ammoun received the 3rd prize for her precious artwork in white grĕs cuit, ’Cherchant sa forme’.
Certificates of participation were distributed to the 43 participants of this year’s competition.
