About his Work

Nabil Helou is driven by a desire to explore the endless possibilities in art. He fearlessly experiments with a wide range of materials, textures, ideas, volumes, and voids, pushing the boundaries of his creativity.

Helou's works exhibit a captivating range, encompassing styles such as realism, figurative representation, impressionism, abstract forms, depictions of water motion, and the harmonization of space. His artistic expressions traverse various genres, reflecting his willingness to embrace diverse artistic approaches and themes.

Helou primarily focuses on working with stone and marble, harnessing the unique qualities of these materials to create his artworks. However, in 2014, he embarked on a new creative journey by venturing into a series of wood installations titled The Odds. This marked a departure from his usual medium and showcased his versatility as an artist.

A selection of these wood installations was presented in a solo exhibition held during the Al Bustan Music Festival in 2014. The exhibition provided a platform for Helou to share his innovative exploration of wood as a medium and to engage audiences with his distinctive artistic vision.
