let children experience creativity

MACAM is a cultural institution in Lebanon with two designated Children’s Areas. The museum offers creative programs for children, ranging from one-hour sessions to three-hour experiences. These include guided tours of the permanent exhibitions, engaging workshops, and visual presentations about the history of sculpture in Lebanon for older age groups. The workshops and tours are tailored to different age levels, from KG3 to High School.

  • We strongly believe in the importance of introducing art appreciation and cultural exposure at an early age, as children can understand and benefit from these values more intrinsically.

  • Visiting a museum and exploring art serves as an eye-opening experience and the first step toward understanding and appreciating diverse forms of creative expression.

  • Through our creative workshops, children of all ages can explore their talents and discover their own creativity.

Program for Elementary School

Children discover the world of Lebanese sculpture from the museum's permanent collection and deepen their experience with artistic activities. Activities are conducted in rotation, depending on the number of children, and the duration of the activities will be adjusted accordingly. Art-related group activities will keep the children engaged through games (indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather conditions).  We provide teachers with a pre-visit guide in advance. This tool aims to facilitate the visit and spark children's curiosity. During the visit, teachers and supervisors are invited to assist the MACAM team in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
