Remembering Shoushou

Remembering Shoushou

Shoushou was the first comedian to bring the common man as well as the intellectuals to the theater. His presence on stage was magical.

MACAM honored Shoushou, the Charlie Chaplin of Lebanon, with a record exhibition of films and photos of his plays. On the opening night of the exhibition Ziad Itani performed excerpts from Beirut Tarik el Jdideh.
