Sculpture Unveiling: Struggle for Peace by Jorg Van Daele

Belgian sculptor Jorg Van Daele will unveil his two-meter-high sculpture. It will be permanently displayed in the outdoor sculpture exhibition of MACAM. This sculpture is part of a worldwide sculpture project he started in 2015 and has spanned over 30 countries.
Jorg started his sculpture education at Emiel Uyterhoeven’s studio in 1989. Since 2001, he has been a full-time sculptor and participated in over 40 symposia. He won First Prize at the international symposium of Pöchlarn, Austria in 2012, and won the second prize in Chile in 2017. In April 2016, he opened the New-Jorg Gallery, near Antwerp.

Talk with multidisciplinary artist and MACAM art resident Mauricio Yazbek, and round table with the collective Zayraqoun. Mauricio is a Lebanese-Brazilian visual artist who is learning how to teach poetry to robots. Since October 2019, he has been part of the Zayraqoun collective, which promotes multidisciplinary art actions in Lebanon
